2008 Adler Fels Russian River Valley Chardonnay

The grapes for our 2008 Chardonnay were harvested from three different vineyards in the Russian River Valley during September. The wine was fermented in a mix of French and American oak barrels and was then aged for over five months in barrel adding to the rich, round style of this Chardonnay. The nose exhibits layers of aromas including spiced apple, nutmeg, and creme brulee. On the palate, notes of baked apple and vanilla are balanced by a hint of meyer lemon and minerality in the mid-palate. The finish shows toasty oak notes.
